Fatsoluble vitamins are absorbed by the body by a similar process as the fat found in foods and can be stored in the bodys fat tissue. Therefore, fatsoluble vitamins are needed only in moderate amounts from the diet.. Fatsoluble vitamins include: Vitamin A (retinol, retinaldehyde, retinoic acid) Vitamin D (calciferol) Vitamin E (tocopherol) Vitamin K (phylloquinone) Watersoluble vitamins include the Bcomplex vitamins and vitamin C.
